Over 800 Join Keith On The Run!
Keith Duffy, Ireland’s favourite musician, actor, and presenter was back in training; but the Boyzone star’s latest sporting challenge was just ‘a walk in the park’! The patron of Irish Autism Action was leading a charity fun run the morning of Sunday, 30th June, in the Phoenix Park in Dublin, and welcomed the hundreds of people who walked, ran, or simply strolled the short 5k route around the park to help raise some much-needed funds for the Irish autism group. Funds raised by the Keith Duffy 5k will go towards Ireland’s first National Diagnostic and Assessment Centre for autism, and to the National Autism Helpline, which provides advice and support for people with an autistic spectrum disorder, and their families.

KEITH DUFFY – 28 JUNE 2013 02:30 PM
I HAD a quiet start to the week because I just returned from a lads' adventure weekend with my son Jay so I spent most of Monday evening and Tuesday sleeping it off.
Every year we make sure we go somewhere, Jay brings four or five of his friends and a few of my buddies come along.
Last year we went to Kerry, but this year we went to Westport and The Adventure Islands in Mayo, which is a haven for boys who never really grew up.
You can do any activity under the sun like kayaking and zip-lining, so it was a lovely way to spend time with him.
Jay is 17 and at 6ft 3in, he towers over everyone so he is the man of the house now. Lisa, his mother and my lovely wife, is tiny compared to him, but she is still in charge.

BOYZONE star Keith Duffy is to try his hand at comedy acting.
While some might have found the pop star's appearances in Coronation Street a bit humourous, he plans to be laugh-out-loud funny – this time in a soccer show.
Duffy has landed a role on a five-a-side soccer team for a new TV show that is still being finalised.
He has revealed that bosses on ITV soap Coronation Street have offered to renew his contract should he wish to return – but he has no intention of walking back down the cobblestones just yet. His new comedy drama is based in London and centres around a local football team made up of working class Londoners.
He will play one of the characters on the team and claims the new show is very funny and a bit like the 1997 hit comedy, The Full Monty.

Boyzone star Keith Duffy has completed a 300 mile (482 kilometre) cycle challenge for charity.
The 38-year-old singer-turned-actor set off on his journey from Malaga, Spain last week and visited areas including Seville and Cadiz before finishing his route in Gibraltar on Monday.
The former Coronation Street star entered the race to raise money for autism organisation Hearts and Minds.
Taking to his twitter page, the No Matter What singer thanked the local police for escorting his cycling team to the finish line, writing: "A huge thanks to the Gib (Gibraltar) Police for the wonderful welcome and escort to the square, U (you) made the end of a wonderful trip perfect!"
Duffy's Boyzone bandmate, Ronan Keating, also took to his social networking site to congratulate his good friend, writing: "Congrats (sic) to (Duffy) and all the team for finishing their cycle to Gibraltar for Autism."
